Emily Buckley Emily Buckley, publisher and editor-in-chief

First and foremost, Emily is a mother to five little girls. As a parent, Emily understands what families and parents need and want to know. As an experienced writer, journalist and communicator, she knows how to tell stories, find resources and disseminate them in a useful way. Emily was raised in Southeast Idaho, and is committed to doing her part to keeping it a great place to raise a family.

Emily studied at Brigham Young University-Idaho and earned her bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Marketing at Utah State University. Prior to founding Southeast Idaho Family Magazine, she launched Cache Valley Family Magazine in Logan, Utah where it was warmly received as a trusted parenting resource. Emily has worked in marketing and communications both as a full-time employee and as a consultant for organizations including Intermountain Healthcare, Sarasota Orchestra, Broward Healthcare, Wapiti Development, Thomson Family Orthodontics and Clare Controls, and as a contributing writer for newspapers and magazines across the country.

Emily’s favorite things include the smell of fresh bread, Birkenstock sandals, newborn babies, pumpkin steamers and hand-written notes. To know more about her you should understand that she had a custom 12-foot-long, five-foot-wide dining table built to ensure she would always have room at her table for more friends and family, and tries to live by her grandmother’s words, “If there is room in your heart there is room in your home.”

When she isn’t busy running Southeast Idaho Family Magazine and Cache Valley Family Magazine, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughters, watching Netflix, checking out unique local digs, jogging or hiking, planning a party or decorating her home.

Emily is inspired by her love of family, authenticity and people who leave others better than they found them.

Bryan Buckley Bryan Buckley, chief operating officer Bryan is the business leader of Southeast Idaho Family Magazine and Cache Valley Family Magazine. He co-founded the organization with his wife, Emily, to help make their community a better place to live and to help her achieve her dream of owning her own magazine.

He helps companies grow their top-line revenue and bottom-line profitability by strategically focusing on opportunities in processes and procedures, products they service or sell and people they employ.
